Background
Recognized a deficiency in the arena of social media platforms, which often left creators and small enterprises battling to showcase their services or talents. To counter this, we provided an easy-to-use tool for creating short form content comprising pre-made templates and graphics, promoting accessibility and ease of sharing across various platforms.
Research & Planning
Conducted field research at schools. We observed how teachers used XSEED content, assessed classroom technology integration, and watched how teachers and students interacted with digital tools. By studying the classroom atmosphere during technology use and interviewing teachers about their views and pain points, we verified our problem statements.
Design & Prototyping
Collaborated with designers to create intuitive user interfaces and interactive prototypes. Iteratively refined designs based on user feedback to enhance usability.
Implementation
Leveraged agile development methodologies to build the scheduling app from the ground up. Prioritized feature development based on user feedback and technical feasibility.
Testing & Optimization
Conducted rigorous testing across various devices and platforms to ensure compatibility and performance. Attended the classroom and observed how teachers are using the platform and optimized the experience based on the observation.
Personalised home
Through research we realized lesson plans often span multiple sessions. To address this, we personalised the home screen based on teachers last activity to pick lesson plans based on their previous session
Familiar mental model
Considering educators' longstanding tradition of using hardcover books as their classroom preparation resources, we replicated this same model in our digital platform to match the mental model teachers have to reduce the learning curve.
Training and help
To help with adaptation we integrated XSEED academy, through which we empowered teachers with their doubts and provided short tutorials on how to effectively use the mobile app
