Project description

Projexn empowers small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) in construction and warehousing to streamline operations through AI-driven logistics tools, including fleet management SaaS platforms and driver-facing mobile apps.

Timeline

From explorations to final designs in 12 weeks while working with multiple projects at the same time

Background

RunTrac is a delivery logistics platform designed to eliminate chaos in construction and warehousing operations. RunTrac focuses on industrial workflows, addressing miscommunication and delays in warehousing and construction.

Process

Process

Process

This category details the step-by-step approach taken during the project, including research, planning, design, development, testing, and optimization phases.

Research & Planning

Started with a whiteboarding session involving the CEO (a construction/warehousing veteran) and key stakeholders to map pain points. To validate these claims, visited warehouses to observe their daily operations, focusing on order fulfillment bottlenecks.

Design & Prototyping

Mapped detailed user flows, built high-level prototypes, and designed the final UI based on research and user mental models. Conducted stakeholder testing on prototypes before finalizing visual design to reduce revisions and ensure alignment with user needs

Development & Implementation

Collaborated closely with the development team, maintaining constant communication to ensure accurate design implementation. Leveraged agile methodologies to build the scheduling app from the ground up, prioritizing features based on user feedback and technical feasibility.

Testing & Optimization

Conducted rigorous testing across devices and platforms to ensure compatibility and performance. Led usability testing sessions with drivers and warehouse managers, observing real-world interactions with the app. Gathered feedback through beta testing and iteratively refined the experience based on usability metrics and user satisfaction

Solution
